Here are a few more knit wallets. They’re knit with a handstitched felt applique, lined with cotton with a zipper. I think I’m done making these for a while – just gotta find someone to buy them! I want to move onto making a badass quilt and I’ve been researching designs and color schemes. Fun … Continue reading
My first knit project! Last night I knit and put together this wallet/coin purse. I appliqued a bird onto it (cut out of a piece of fabric) and lined it with felt and fabric. Today I sewed in the zipper and put the finishing stitches in it. It measures about 4″x6″ give or take. Tonight … Continue reading
These are zippered cosmetic bags. I followed several tutorials to make these, some more confusing than others: http://sewlikemymom.com/cosmetic-bag-tutorial/ and http://www.skiptomylou.org/2010/07/25/the-boxy-cosmetic-bag-tutorial/ mostly. I didn’t use the fusible vinyl, but I did add buttoned pockets to the inside of the bags.
I made these thank you cards for my bday & xmas gifts. The bird is felt, and the bee is paper. I sewed and Mod Podged the bird & bee to fabric, then Mod Podged the fabric to a blank card. The “thank you” is cut out of regular paper and Mod Podged to the … Continue reading

Folding each strip in half lengthwise, braid (using 3 strips) the plarn into one reeeaaaaaaally long braid. You can always add more to it later, you don’t have to do … Continue reading
For this case, I wove two coordinating fabrics together and machine-sewed them together with a decorative stitch. I hand-sewed a felt F to the front. The back has a flap with a button closure.
This was for my Dad for Christmas. I bought a 5×7 wooden shadow box from Hobby Lobby. I printed off a ton of pictures of family members’ faces in black and white on normal printer paper. I cut all the pictures to fit. The pictures go all the way around the inside and outside edges … Continue reading
I made this onesie for my cousin Ashley’s baby. The giraffe is felt and hand-stitched, then machine sewn to the onesie. I can upload the giraffe template if anyone wants.
Handmade clipboards are a great gift. To make one, buy a clipboard from the office supply store. Clipboards with the rectangular silver clip on top instead of a clamp are best for this project, because you can easily tie ribbons to them. Get some cute scrapbook paper. Apply a layer of Mod Podge to the … Continue reading
